All the techniques used in the monologue workshop will be applied to scene study workshop.  I encourage actors to do one comic and one dramatic scene. You can mix them up; one Shakespeare and one Contemporary or any combination is fine. Each scene gets three weeks of “showings”. I call them “footings” as they are the process of a beginning, middle and end.  Actors must learn their lines and be off book by the 2nd footing.

 

Actors are expected to be able to rehearse with their partner outside of the workshop.

Three hours of rehearsal is recommended outside of class, plus one’s own personal homework.
